Boris Johnson begins his first fightback

We're only eight weeks in guys, and guess what?

It's time for a relaunch.

Never mind Boris. Things can only get better, no?

Oh well, the real Mayor of London Tim Parker is starting today, so Boris can go back to twiddling his thumbs and writing his column. Hopefully Parker will get more of a grip on things than his 'boss'.

'including a major speech on planning'

But who will he delegate it to?

Boris is officially the Gordon Brown of the Conservative Party. Bring on the relaunch!

Things in Boris's Mayoralty are actually going extremely well, which is probably why you guys are getting in such a lather. I would list all the good things he has done again, but the last time i did that, my post only last for about 2 minutes on here.

At least he isn't giving highly paid jobs to all the women he knows, like his predecessor.

Was that satire Angela?

'At least he isn't giving highly paid jobs to all the women he knows, like his predecessor.'

No he's just making them redundant or paying them half of what everyone else gets.

Keep your chin up.

I'd like to see that post again? Did naughty Mr. Troll delete it? I think we should be told.

Things are not, by any stretch of the imagination, going well when your most high profile appointment in your most high profile area has had to resign because he misled his boss about his record. That said boss didn't actually check merely makes it more embarrassing than it otherwise would have been.

I didn't delete it, I just kept it in storage until it everyone calmed down. Mostly because it included this gem towards the end:

"Whatever Ray Lewis has or has not done, he WAS an inspirational leader and I feel sorry for the kids who would have benefitted and received some hope from the schemes Ray Lewis was pioneering. This is a huge opportunity missed.

If anybody DID hold back the dossier deliberately and plan the whole thing to pick off Boris's deputies one by one when they are genuinely making progress, and if anyone deliberately connived to scupper Ray Lewis's progress, I hope they rot in hell, which they undoubtedly will."

I didn't really want to play a part in telling Bishops to rot in hell, but seeing as Angela is unhappy with me holding it back, I have duly obliged.

Rotters would presumably include Nick Boles, who advised Boris to take Ray on without adequate checks, Boris for taking Nick's advice but forgetting the adequate checks and indeed Ray Lewis himself for forgetting he wasn't actually a magistrate. Is angela aware that she's hoping her heroes rot in hell? If so, I take back all I've said about her being a troll who will never, ever be persuadable no matter what evidence is thrown at her.
