Maybe he just can't be arsed with that whole evil fascist thing and just fancies being a normal politician, leading up to being Mayor. This could be the first step in a Boris-style character rehabilitation.
I'm intruiged as to which dance forms Barnbrook thinks *should* be on offer for The Big Dance as he evidently objects to Bollywood, Salsa and other popular forms of dance. Maybe he can dress up as Carmen Miranda now he's got the necessary supplies?
Adam, I missed your remark to me about you all reading the educational stuff, so don't tell me off that I am answering the wrong question, like you do sometimes! I LOVE the educational stuff. I love learning new words, and the historical allusions, and I also love the Latin quotations, it is all rivetting stuff.
ps. won't you do a piece on computer language, you promised you would, it would be great to know what those words meant.
Don't be fooled - fascists notoriously associate with any populist cause. I'm sure Hitler attended school fetes before 1933. He might be prepared to be seen with black people in terms of puiblicity, but what his supporters do to people at bus stops, walking home late at night is another matter. What you see is not what you get and history ahs a powerful warning.
You're absolutely right Stuart. However, I don't think that we should attribute any Machiavellian strategy to the man. I don't think he has any. I just think he's a bit thick and a bit power hungry. He's also slightly unhinged.
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't take the BNP seriously of course. As you say, they have a history (recent as well as past) of extreme violence and intimidation. It's just that their most powerful representative is an out and out berk.

They're going to love this on Stormfront. I don't get it. Should we 'blame the immigrants' or not?
Maybe he's caught some dithering from Boris?
Nuttier than a fruitcake.

This could be the first step to a Dickens-style institutionalization, more like.

Something like this perhaps?

MWAHAHAHA! That'd go down a storm at Pride, too.
Surprise, surprise, this hasn't gone down well

I wonder what Richard Barnbrook's parents, Ann and Satan Barnbrook, think of their little boy's behaviour.
I just realised that the third link above was wrong. It is now corrected.
