Thanks Martin. I was just putting it up as you commented.
It's certainly looking like a 'bucket of the brown stuff' to me.
What were you saying about that lefty conspiracy Dale? does it include the Telegraph and the Mail now?
Glad to see the honeymoon is definitely over already.
As for the BBD image, it looks a bit familiar, doesn't it? I even had the text hanging down at the end! (This is not an accusation of plagiarism, you understand - just an amused observation.)
I have to say I did notice the similarity. I'm sure it's just great minds and all that.
Buried away in the Express story is the little nugget that the enquiry is being quietly dropped, when every news report I've seen has mentioned Boris' promise to reinstate Lewis if the enquiry clears his name.
Ray Lewis? Who's Ray Lewis? Never heard of him
George Osborne just said there will be an inquiry. Badly briefed? Or just complete chaos at Tory HQ?
Mr. Stop Boris,
I appreciate you are not accusing me of plagiarism. However I do notice a similarity between MY image and a much earlier one I produced round about the time the new Tory logo was launched in August 2006, a tad earlier than the stopboris image methinks.
Here's a link to the image :
No Go For Logo As Tory Icon
Idol Is Proposed
So maybe I am a plagiarist after all, having plagiarised myself.
However, I prefer this small animation which is an update (added music) to the original which I also produced in 2006:
Conservatives Green Tree
Logo, Roobarb, Roobarb, Roobarb
*Looks inquisitively at the cartoon and animation linked to above*
*Day brightens somewhat*
Adam, in your thorough research, you have missed the article in Friday's Standard that said the Bishop of Chelmsford has left wing interests; I have quoted it on Dave Hill's column.
If you cant defend the man just shoot the messenger eh?
Has it started to occur to yet that Lewis might just not be the great saint you would like him to be? That he might just be a habitual liar or even worse?
No? Thought not. The great leader is all wise and all-knowing and can do no wrong.
Hi Beau Bo D'or,
Thanks for pointing out your earlier images. I've long enjoyed your work so it's nice to hear from you!
I guess what we're all saying here is, if you don't like the Tories, being presented with a tree as their logo makes it just far too tempting to chop the thing down ;)
On the intellectual property theft front, I must take this opportunity to apologise for 'borrowing' some of your pictures to use in the MYR of LDN video - I hope you don't mind. I guess if you do you'll have to join the queue to sue me over that song, just behind Lily Allen...
Mr. Stop Boris,
Not a problem at all on borrowing images I've produced.
All non-commercial blogs can pinch my stuff unless I've produced it for a client eg C4 News or previously The Guardian.
All this corruption and no Andrew Gilligan or Martin Bright in sight. How comes these masters of investigative journalism haven't surfaced here?
I mean they could find out the most secretive of emails before, yet nothing now.
Judging by the attacks on Boris from the Times, Telegraph and the Mail - hardly left wing propaganda sheets - who would now consider Gilligan an objective reporter?
Gilligan is still busy investigating Ken Livingstone. Poor bloke. He seems to have taken the election result quite badly. Still, give it a few years and he might finally wake up to the fact that Ken isn't the Mayor any more.
Actually, a few more months of this stuff and I'm putting money on Gilligan and the rest of us waking up to Ken being the mayor again!
