When did Boris Johnson hear Ray Lewis allegations?

Boris Johnson is coming under pressure to confirm when he first heard the Ray Lewis allegations, after a number of reports contradicted his Deputy's claims.

Yesterday, Lewis claimed that he had only heard the allegations that same day. But according to the Daily Mail, Boris Johnson's legal team sought legal advice on the claims last week.

Speaking on Channel Four News last night, the Bishop of Chelmsford also claimed that City Hall had been made aware of the claims when Ray Lewis was first appointed two months ago.

And in an interview with the Daily Mirror Lewis himself states that he "became aware of this growing conspiracy quite a while ago."

But with so many contradictions in the story, and with threats of legal action being made to media outlets by City Hall, it may be some time before the truth becomes clear.

Boris has twice been sacked for lying, maybe Lewis is just playing Follow The Leader?

I'm sure they will manage somehow to make 2 and 2 make 5. That is their job after all.

Yes, the truth isn't clear yet, so it's best that nobody says much until it is.

People are still innocent until proven guilty in this country.

Have I said he is guilty? All I have done is report what has happened and what has been said. I have made it quite clear that he denies all of the allegations. Do you expect me just to ignore the story until the investigation is over?
