Was this programme made while he was Mayor? I bet there's no precedent for a serving elected politician with so much power taking part in an hour-long apolitical TV programme as its sole focus. Perhaps he was filming this when they were removing anti-racism from Rise, or when he was supposed to be returning a call from the Church about Ray Lewis...
It was allegedly made before he was elected.
I don't know. I guess we might find out tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC ONE. Watch it. Or don't.
I can't decide whether to watch it or not. On the one hand it will be an hour of that idiot blathering on at me - an hour I'll never be able to get back. On the other hand, I do write for Boris Watch so it kind of feels like I should probably take any easy opportunity to, er, watch Boris. We'll see.
Helen, I'm pretty sure you are right and it was made before Boris was elected, but they postponed it because they didn't want to give him an unfair advantage. Obviously anyone watching would be blinded by his wit, brains and charm, and Boris didn't want to be unfair to Ken.
