Boris Johnson at Mayor's Question Time 10/09/08

Just in case you were one of the few not to crowd round your television for Boris's monthly sermon, I have decided to give you another chance.

For some reason best known to themselves, the BBC take these down after a week, after which you can only watch them on the postage stamp sized screen of the Mayor's website.

Highlights of this session include a row between Jenette Arnold and Brian Coleman near the beginning and Boris Johnson's slapdown of Richard Barnbrook at about 2 hours and 16 minutes.

It's thrill a minute stuff this Londoners. Watch in awe.

What was Barnbrook wearing then?

Oh it was a sweatshirt with the logo for his latest BNP front campaign '(London's) Mothers Against Knives'. You can read more about it over at Five Chinese Crackers

This Question Time was absolutely vintage stuff and I loved every minute of it. Jeanette Arnold was fantastic in her handling of Brian Coleman, her put downs were so well deserved. She looked great and really knows how to handle herself.

Boris was fabulous when he replied to Richard Barnbrook - you had to see it to appreciate it and I just wish that this was on Prime Time T.V. because people need to know exactly what they are getting with this dangerous doofus. I always think of the Alice Cooper song POISON. (OK Adam, I am repeating myself - I haven't since you told me, though and I was so grateful you pointed that out, I only did it because I thought nobody ever read what I wrote.)

Anyway, the song goes "One look. Could kill. your pain. My thrill. you're poison running through my veins" and that is Richard Barnbrook to a T.

May I end by saying Boris was at the very top of his game during this Q.T. and he performed brilliantly!

You may not.

This was Boris trying for centre stage, but the reality is his untenable budget proposals - if he makes cuts as he proposes, services will really be hit. If he doesn't, he won't please the Tory hardliners.
The most interesting bit, apart from those mentioned was the absence of Brian Coleman when his question was asked.
Was he in a taxi or taking advantage of his £1800 per year travel pass?

Adam I have warned the nation what a bad boy you are on Boris's website as a public duty.

I don't tend to go on there. All the simpering makes me queasy.
