As I commented on boriswatch, he’s also Director or Chief Executive of County Holdings Limited, County Asset Finance Limited, County Plant and Equipment Sales Ltd, Alpha Strategic PLC, Alpha Winton Ltd and Dilettante Music Ltd.He performs all these duties out of the kindness of his heart, naturally.
Ah yes well spotted Helen. i suppose I should change the title to Kit Malthouse's nine jobs.
I'm sure he makes nothing from this job, in particular: http://www.alphastrategic.co.uk/ir/aps/ir.jsp?page=board
Well I guess when you're a 'master of the universe' you can be a director of five companies, a chief executive of another, work full-time as a vice chairman, part time as an assembly member, full time as a Deputy Mayor for policing and then negotiate a few airports on your lunch break. He's not like us mortals you know.
funny how you dont mention the independent verification, or the fact that all the labour members voted for it, and that Kit was asked these questions about his other businesses at his confirmation hearings and was passed as OK unanimously.....but then why would you, or indeed Tim Donovan, be bothered with the truth when it gets in the way of your prejudice.
The MPA passed it, which is a board with cross party and independent members. They approved themselves and Kit the rises. Is that clear enough? As it happens I didn't actually mention his directorships in my article but I guess I don't hold the extreme prejudices of Tim Donovan.
To anonymous at 07.38If you had been at the MPA meeting yesterday you would have noticed that due to a chairing style that could be best be described as 'bumbling', there were no votes taken at all during the entire meetinmg.Any time a vote looked like it would be needed, Boris moved the meeting on, in some instances saying he agreed with the motion or idea being advanced, even when –for instance – members expressed unhappiness about the lack of consultation over the way Sir Ian Blair’s resignation was handled. And you should read the independent panels report on the allowances. Take a look at the appendix at the bottom of this page http://www.mpa.gov.uk/committees/mpa/2008/081006/06c.htm and you will see that Kit Malthouse made some pretty firm suggestions to the panel as to what he though he was worth. And I venture to suggest that Assembly Members who sat on the panel at Malthouse’s confirmation hearing may have taken a slightly different view of his outside interests if they knew what he was trying to take from the MPA job he has.
Dilettante's the word for it!
I hear Tim Donovan is part of a communist cell in the BBC. He's known as 'Trotsky Tim' down at Broadcasting House and is part of a secret cell along with Nick Robinson and Andrew Neil all dedicated to overthowing the Conservative Mayor.
"I hear Tim Donovan is part of a communist cell in the BBC. He's known as 'Trotsky Tim' down at Broadcasting House and is part of a secret cell along with Nick Robinson and Andrew Neil all dedicated to overthowing the Conservative Mayor".What a LOAD OF CRAP!
I think Bobbin may have been pulling our leg M, unless he is actually Cllr Taylor in disguise.
No I was being serious.
I like the idea of Nick Robinson being a communist sleeper in the 1980s Conservative student movement. He obviously did an excellent job of discrediting it, since it was eventually disbanded by Norman Tebbit.Welcome to the BBC, comrade, your work is done.
