Boris Johnson: Diwali, Wikipedia, and crash dieting

Is it me or is Boris Johnson back on the sauce again? What on earth was he talking about here?

Is he completely incapable of modifying his speaking style to suit different occasions? Every speech seems to fit the same formula - historical reference, dig at the Labour party and an irrelevant personal anecdote segued onto whatever subject he happens to be talking about. It's Boris by numbers.

That's how he got his reputation for journalism, guys...

At least Boris can be relied on consistently to talk rubbish.
What is notable here is that he managed to tlak utter rubbish without offending anyone.
Add that to his decision to spend £30,000 (yes - spend money on something useful), namely on trialling live CCTV on buses to combat crime, he seems to have had a good couple of days.
Perhaps he shouldn't have so much faith in Barclays, though!
