Another month, another totally idiotic question from the BNP's Richard Barnbrook:
"Written Question: Can the Mayor confirm that no members of Her Majesties Armed Forces were employed in quelling rioting and crushing criminal civil disorder after last year’s Notting Hill Carnival?"Answer from the Mayor: The Armed Forces were not involved. Policing of the Notting Hill Carnival is a Metropolitan Police Service operation."
I assume Dicky will be disappointed. Next year perhaps?

I think he's living in hope - he can join Gilligan in looking at sailors.
Shouldn't that be "Her Majesty's"? Or does he think we have more than one?
@Helen - bare-bottomed sailors, presumably.
@Roger - He can count up to one? News to me.
Really, one does occasionally have to feel sorry for Boris here - how does a democratic institution deal with democratically elected individuals who seek to undermine democracy?
Boris doesn't quite know how to deal with him and so just tries to ignore him (he's the only AM he doesn't look at when he's answering questions). I can understand that, but I'm not sure it's very effective. Barnbrook on the other hand is still a bit of a fan.
Yes, Boris's refusal to address him directly certainly backfires in that Barnbrook's little coterie of admirers say "hur hur hes so scared of you you ar the best and he knos your rite."
I do enjoy James Cleverly's body language when the brown suit starts spouting his gibberish...
"Barnbrook on the other hand is still a bit of a fan."
So if Brian Coleman were to deck him, would it be a case of the shit hitting the fan?
Surely the correct answer from Boris would have been "Of course they weren't you knobhead"
