Adam Thought you might be interested to know that when I went through Euston tonight at about 8pm there were two Standard vendors desperately trying to sell the Standard for 10p. Even have a 10p poster in that insipid orange colour. Was there for about 20 minutes and didnt see one person buy it though in fairness the vendors screeched "10p Standard" for the full time.
Well if you can't sell it for 10p you can't sell it. I'm not sure what the thinking is behind selling any paper for that price. If you can afford 10p you can afford 20p. It's not the price that's stopping people paying, it's the product.
You just wait until he throws off the yoke of imperialist aggression and reveals his full glory as Ayatollah Andy, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Greenwich.
So Gilligan is now funded by the Iranian government! That is hilarious. Does he know that Iran locked up more journalists than any other government in the world?
Proportionately, that's no longer true. The new Junta in Honduras is rounding them up by the lorry load. Maybe next stop Gilligan is press officer for the Honduras Government? No, not even Gilligan would stoop that low. Would he?
Standard is given away for free after 8pm at a number of locations in central London (e.g. outside TCR tube station). The 10p nominal charge at mainline stations is probably because The London Paper has the deal for free newspaper distribution at mainline stations in the evenings.

So Andrew Gilligan works for an Iranian propaganda network? No great surprise there then.

seems a regular thing later on in the evening - I've seen it a few times at other mainline stations after 8pm

GILLIGAN IS A TRAITOR!!!
I hope he's not on our side now?

Andy Akbar!
I only came across the Telegraph hack job on Gilligan the other day. Amused me no end given that it is his new employer.
The "Humpty Dumptiness of his demeanour", his "desperate eccentricity" and "hissy fits" are all gloriously recorded (hopefully for posterity).

You know things are bad when even Nick Ferrari is a more principled journalist than you.
I can now give you the name of the mysterious photographer

I will be give him his prize asap.
You forgot to mention that other esteemed Press TV presenter, a Mr Ken Livingstone. Lapse of memory perhaps?
I think he stood in for George Galloway once didn't he?
And your point is?

Another way to keep their distribution figures up I guess
