Scrap these NON-JOBS now!

The government is declaring war on public sector "NON-JOBS" with "meaningless titles."

Now I'm all for this. There's too many people getting paid for pointless jobs with ludicrous names and we just can't afford it any more.

So considering that we're all in this together, I'd like to give Eric Pickles a few suggestions of my own:

1. So how about Baroness Anelay "Chief Whip Captain of the Honourable Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Arms"? - that's got to be a NON-JOB.

2. Or Alistair Carmichael "Comptroller of Her Majesty’s Household"? - Blatant NON-JOBBER.

3. Or Lord Shutt of Greetland "the Lord Captain of the Queen’s Bodyguard of the Yeomen of the Guard" - NON-JOB again.

4. Or Greg Clark MP installed as "Minister for Decentralisation" after his promised post was taken by a Lib Dem - Complete NON-JOBBER.

5. Or Baroness Warsi who was made the government's "Minister without Portfolio"? - They even admit it's a NON-JOB in the title!

Of course I haven't actually bothered to check what any of these people actually do.

But then why should I? Just look at their titles. Their ridiculous, ridiculous titles.

A comptroller is someone who counts up the cash so he's probably quite busy LOL

Leader of the Opposition. That's a non-job. Seem to be doing quite well without one, at the moment.

The Tories are always saying there is no money left. Therefore a comptroller to count the money which they say doesn't exist MUST be a complete and total NON-JOBBER if not a fraud on the taxpayer

Non-jobs is a moot point and always relative to the side of the wire that the non-job person comes down on.
Depend show big their voice is, which is a shame.

I thought under this localism lark they're allegedly so keen on it's up to the residents to decide if their council tax is being pissed up the wall on non-jobs. Nose out, Pickles.

And what about Nick Clegg, so-called "deputy prime minister". That's a post previously held by John Prescott, so it cannot be anything other than a NON-JOB.

Sorry. Cheap, but fun.

1-3 of these "jobs" are titles which don't attract any additional payment or cost to the taxpayer.

The two ministerial posts are arguably unnecessary but Cameron has put forward measures to reduce the cost of parliament so we will be paying less overall for this.

In contrast the non-jobs the government are talking about cost the taxpayer money

I think you may have missed the point somewhat.
